We take a look at the Jennings Jr. .22lr Rifle made by Bryco Arms in Costa Mesa, California for a limited time just before they were sued out of business in 1984

We did some research on a fascinating part of U.S. firearms history, the small, low caliber, inexpensive pistols made by manufacturers in the Los Angeles area who were given the nickname, the “Ring of Fire” companies.

Jennings Firearms started to be made by Bryco (after CalWestCo)

Then “Jennings Firearms” was dropped from the pistol slides when they moved to Costa Mesa

After Bryco was sued, Jimenez Arms continued to manufacture the pistols in Costa Mesa, CA for a short time before moving to Nevada

Rau Arms Corp of El Dorado, Kansas made these single shot .22 rifles for a few years in the late 1960′s and 1970′s

These are based on a solid metal wire bent to shape for the stock and grip and another wire supporting the barrel and chamber
