How often to clean
Wipe down the outside after every outing. Clean the bore every few range trips, after shooting in rain or snow, and always after firing corrosive surplus ammo.
Storage and transport
Rust and theft are the two biggest threats to a rifle in storage. A locked safe with moisture control solves both.
